A team of officials from Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau raided the office of drug inspector Rajesh Yadav and caught him while taking money from Subodh Kumar of Meerut who was seeking licence for opening a medical store.
Another person identified as Subhash Chand was also arrested from the spot who was acting as a mediator between Yadav and Kumar, said Deputy SP of Vigilance-Rajiv Kumar.
Subodh had informed the police about this deal after which a trap was laid, said the Deputy SP, adding a total of 1,30,000 was sought as the bribery amount.
