Dry weather persists in UP, Etawah coldest

Weather continued to remain dry in Uttar Pradesh which continued to witness fog in most parts in the past 24 hours with Etawah recording the lowest temperature in the state.
Moderate to dense fog occurred at most places and very dense fog at isolated places over the state, according to the MeT office here.
Night temperature fell appreciably in Varanasi and Allahabad divisions and fell in Jhansi division and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state, they said.
Etawah remained the coldest place in the state recording 6.8 degree Celsius.
The minimum temperature recorded in Allahabad was 13 degrees Celsius, while that in Bareilly (8.9), Gorakhpur (11.8), Lucknow (9), Kanpur (11.4) and Varanasi (10.9), according to an official bulletin.

The maximum temperature recorded in Allahabad was 20.3 degrees Celsius, while that in Bareilly (25.1), Lucknow (18), Kanpur (19.4) and Varanasi (21).
The weatherman has forecast that weather is likely to remain dry with moderate to dense fog at most places and very dense fog at isolated places in the state.
