The work will commence in the presence of Delhi Industry Minister Haroon Yusuf and representatives of industrial associations from the areas, a DSIIDC statement said today.
The two industrial areas had been transferred to the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (DSIIDC) following the industrial policy of 2010-12.
According to the statement, DSIIDC intends to upgrade the infrastructure of the industrial areas by improving roads, drains and footpaths.
"DSIIDC will complete the construction work in both cases in six months. The agency assigned with the job will also maintain these industrial areas for five years," DSIIDC spokesperson said.
The cost of the construction and maintenance in Patparganj industrial area will be approximately Rs 9.40 crore and Rs 6.55 crore in Okhla Industrial area Phase III.
