Among the initiatives discussed during the meeting were setting up additional police booths, increased video surveillance and police pickets besides tackling certain vulnerable spots.
The Vice Chancellor suggested that student volunteers from the NCC and NSS could be associated with police booths and picket manning to augment the confidence of women on the campus.
Besides the VC and the Provost, the meeting was attended by principals of the colleges in the North Campus who shared their views with Delhi Police on how to augment the safety of women and boost their confidence.
A team of North Delhi police officials at the meeting were led by Deputy Commisioner of Police (North).
