"Joint Commissioner (Traffic)has been requested for relaxation of traffic norms for operation of tankers so that they could be used for more time to settle down dust on roads," said a senior government official.
Following directions from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal last week, the PWD launched a "massive" dust control operations to combat air pollution.
Pace of horticulture activity has been improved. Bald patches at green spaces on central verges and footpaths are unable to hold top soil which contributes to air pollution. These are being repaired, the official said.
