Within a year of joining Infosys EdgeVerve, its CEO designate Michael Reh has decided to leave the company.
Infosys, in an internal communication to employees, said Reh has decided to leave the company to spend more time with his family in Germany.
EdgeVerve Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Infosys, develops innovative software products and offers them on-premise or as cloud-hosted business platforms.
Complementing Reh, who joined Infosys a little over a year ago for his leadership in EdgeVerve and Finacle business, the company said he will continue in his role at least for the current quarter to ensure seamless transmission.
Responding to a question on this development, Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka said "...The amount of travel burden on him is just too much and we need to find a solution to this problem. He is still with us, he will be with us certainly until the end of the quarter, but also beyond that in some kind of a capacity, consultant or something like that."
"We are still thinking on that... Michael is a very dear friend and integral part of our team, but we have to figure out a solution to this problem of how we make this work," he added.
Infosys, country's second-largest software firm today reported a 6.6 per cent growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 3,465 crore.
