ELCOMA appoints Rakesh Zutshi as its president

Lighting industry body Electric Lamp and Component Manufacturers' Association (ELCOMA) today announced appointment of Rakesh Zutshi, Managing Director, Halonix Technologies as its president.
"An active member of ELCOMA, Zutshi has been instrumental in forming various decisions and policies of the association. He has worked closely with his counterparts to bring several issues faced by the industry to the fore with simultaneously developing and executing the strategy of ELCOMA for the welfare of the entire industry," ELCOMA said in a statement.
ELCOMA said Zutshi's extensive experience and expertise will help strengthen the position of ELCOMA, as he is well adept in all facets of lighting industry.

Edelweiss Tokio Life launches online insurance plan * Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance today launched a comprehensive online plan that provides life cover as well as an option to cover critical illnesses.
The policy, 'TotalSecure+' will continue with the death benefit, reduced to the extent of the critical illness sum assured already paid, the private insurance company said in a release here.
TCS deploys banking solution for Bank Yahav
* Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has deployed and operationalised its BaNCS Universal Banking platform at Bank Yahav.
In 2014, Bank Yahav selected TCS as a partner to modernise its banking technology with a view to adopt global standards in operations and processes.
The solution, centered on TCS BaNCS, is hosted and integrated with the local payments infrastructure, ATM/PoS network, and with connectivity to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, among others, TCS said in a statement.
No financial details were disclosed.
Headquartered in Jerusalem, Bank Yahav has more than 50 branches across Israel and is 50 per cent owned by United Mizrachi Tefahot Bank, one of the top 4 banks in Israel.

Wipro to develop Enterprise Master Patient Index (eMPI) soln * Country's third largest software exporter Wipro today said it has bagged a 12-year contract from NHS Scotland to build a next generation Enterprise Master Patient Index (eMPI) solution.
NHS Scotland is the region's National Health Board working towards reducing health inequalities and improving health conditions.
This solution, which will be hosted in Scotland, will help NHS Scotland transition from its current legacy Community Health Index System (CHI) to offer cost effective, efficient, paperless and patient-friendly healthcare services in Scotland, Wipro said in a statement.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
