Varun shared the news with the fans via an Instagram video featuring him, Alia and Gauahar.
"Hello guys, we have one of the Khans joining the team of 'Badrinath ki Dulhania'," says Varun in the beginning of the short video.
To which, Alia adds, "And the lady Khan!" introducing Gauahar. The 33-year-old looked excited to be a part of the cast. "These both are my favourites and I am so happy to be working with them," she says towards the end of the video while hugging Varun and Alia.
The film is being directed by Shashank Khaitan, who also helmed the first movie. The franchise has been produced by Karan Johar under the Dharma Productions banner.
