Acting on a complaint, a vigilance team headed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Maharaj Kanishka Kumar laid a trap and caught Razak red-handed at his office as soon as he accepted Rs 29,000 in bribe from one Jagannath Sah, the Director General of Police (DG), Vigilance, P.K. Thakur said.
The tainted additional electricity engineer had demanded a bribe of Rs 40,000 for providing power connection at Sah's flour mill and taken Rs 11,000 from sah as first instalment, he said.
Rajak will be taken to Patna where he will be questioned by the vigilance sleuths before his production before a special judge for obtaining his judicial remand, the DG (Vigilance) said.
