Engineering student drowns in nullah

An engineering student today drowned in a nullah at Kala Amb in Sirmaur district, about 28 km from here, police said.
Suresh Kumar, a resident of Pangi in Chamba district, had gone deep into the nullah along with his two friends for bathing and was washed away by strong water currents and drowned, they said.
The body of the deceased was recovered and handed over to his relatives after post-mortem.
A case has been registered and investigations are in progress, Sirmaur SP, Somya Sambsivan said.
