The girl, a third-year Civil Engineering student, hailing from Malappuram was admitted to a private hosptial here, police said.
Girl was returning to the hostel when the incident occurred last evening, officials said.
Meanwhile, college authorities said that strict action would be initiated against the culprits and celebrations were held without permission.
Police have registered a case under provisions of traffic rules and the jeep involved in the accident has been seized.
