Ensure prompt action in crimes against women: HC to UP Police

The Allahabad High Court today directed the Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police to ensure "immediate and fair action" in all incidents of crimes against women across the state.
Justice Ramesh Sinha passed the order in the presence of DGP Devraj Nagar and directed that compliance be ensured in all cases of "rape, molestation and eve-teasing".
The High Court had summoned the DGP in connection with a PIL on crimes against women in UP.
