Essentra acquires Kamsri's pharma packaging assets

Global packaging products firm, Essentra has acquired pharmaceutical packaging assets of domestic firm Kamsri Printing & Packaging Pvt Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
Commenting on the development, Essentra Managing Director Asia PT Sreekumar said: "With its highly complementary product range, Kamsri provides us with an entry point into the attractive pharmaceutical and healthcare industries in India."
This reinforces company's global packaging capabilities and enhancing the opportunities for it's customers, he added.
"Our Health & Personal Care Packaging business now has a manufacturing presence in North America, Europe and India, and ships our extensive range of innovative products to 75 countries worldwide," Sreekumar said.
The acquired cartons manufacturing assets will be incorporated into Essentra's existing site which opened in late 2013, the company said.
Headquartered in the UK, Essentra global network currently extends to 33 countries.
