"The court today acquitted four persons including former MLC Tarlochan Singh Wazir, his brother Ajaib Singh, Nagar Singh and Raju Simblia," senior advocate P N Raina who represented the MLC said.
Principal Session and District Judge R K Jain passed the order.
Raina said that the two other accused, Ninju and Sangram Singh of Madhaya Pradesh have been convicted in the case and the quantum of their sentence would be pronounced on February 5.
Special Investigation Team that was constituted to probe the case had arrested senior National Conference leader and former MLC Wazir, his brother Ajaib, their associate Raju Simblia in connection with the killings.
Another Jammu-based contractor Nagar Singh who was in prison for fudging evidence in a murder case was also incorporated as an accused in the conspiracy to kill Chopra and his family.
