Ex-RJD MP dies in Kolkata

Bahadur Pratap Singh died following cardiac arrest at Kolkata last night, family sources here said.

Singh, 77, was today cremated at the Keoratala crematorium near Kalighat in the eastern metropolis.

Singh is survived by his wife, a son and three daughters. One of the three is the daughter-in-law of former prime minister, late V P Singh.

The last king of Giddaur royal family, he had represented Banka parliamentary seat on RJD ticket for two terms - 1989-91 and 1991-96.
