Ex-serviceman, wife killed in road mishap in Haryana

A 60-year-old man and his wife were killed while their grandson was injured when their two-wheeler was hit by a car today on Rewari-Narnaul road at Pali village near here.
Babu Lal, an ex-serviceman and his wife Savita Devi (56) were killed when their scooty collided head-on with the car.
They were going to their native place of Mandhan village in Alwar district of Rajasthan to celebrate Diwali, police said.
Their grandson Daksh (10) was injured. He was rushed to a hospital in Rewari, police said, adding the car driver fled abandoning his vehicle at the accident spot.
A case was registered against the car driver on a complaint made by the deceased son.
