EY (formerly Ernst & Young), the accounts, taxation and consultancy major, advised as many 16 deals with an underlying value of USD 5.295 billion from January till September, Mergermarket said.
These 16 deals, were, however lower than the 20 deals it clocked in the same period last year.
Going by values, Citi tops the table with USD 8.214 billion through five deals in the first nine months, which is higher than USD 8.622 billion from four deals it had achieved last year.
On the deal count, home grown i-banker Avendus Capital came in second with 11 deals, followed by Rothschilds with nine, KPMG with eight and Kotak Investment Banking with seven deals.
