Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said he has surrendered his subsidised LPG connection responding to an appeal by the Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
"I surrender my subsidised LPG Connection & urge all Ministers in State to use non subsidised LPG," the Chief Minister tweeted.
On January 8, Pradhan had tweeted, "Volunteering to give up LPG subsidy amounts to contributing for national development & empowerment of poor people who will be the beneficiary."
He had asked his colleagues and others who can afford non-subsidised LPG to join the initiative.
