Family, pets help candidates unwind day after polling

From playing with pets to spending time with parents or people of their respective constituencies are how some of the candidates are unwinding a day after the dust and din settled on the Delhi elections.
After putting up her best during the campaign, Congress candidate from Greater Kailash Sharmistha Mukherjee said the election results were the last thing on her mind right now.
"I am relaxing by spending time with my pet dog. My whole house is in a chaos, so I have to put that in order as well. And, in the evening, I will go and spend some time with my parents at the Rashtrapati Bhawan," Sharmishta told PTI.

Daughter of President Pranab Mukherjee, Sharmishta is also an accomplished dancer. Asked if she takes to dancing to relax herself, she said with a smile, "Come on, dancing is such a strenuous activity, why would I do that at this time."
The Congress candidate said she had done her bit and campaigned all out, now "it is not for me to decide but the people."
BJP's Nupur Sharma, who is pitted against AAP's chief ministerial candidate Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency, said, "She was not feeling anxious at all."

"Why would I worry about something that is not in my control. I entered politics with a mission and I have done my bit in the last seven years... And, irrespective of what the exit polls say, we are very hopeful of winning the polls," she said.

The 29-year-old candidate said she is a bit of a "workaholic" and therefore was currently spending time with party workers and getting to know their view after the polls.
"My dad is leaving for Germany today, and I can only relax after 7:30 PM I guess. I live in a joint family and their presence is a blessing anyway. Apart from that I love writing, and I am thinking of writing a piece on my entire campaign...," she said.
"I voted early at around 8:30 AM and it was different feeling to see my own name on the EVM," she said with a smile.

"But after polling, I have cancelled all TV debates, and I not much of a TV person anyway, so I am not watching TV at home either," she said.
AAP candidate from Mangolpuri Rakhi Birla said, "I woke up at 10 AM today... Catching some sleep."
"After days of campaigning, we were very sleep-deprived. Waking up late was invigorating... I am not anxious at all about the results, so not doing much about unwinding. This is people's election and they are electing one of them only, so why would I worry... Instead, I am spending time with some of the women in my constituency," she said.
