Farmer comes under combine harvesting machine, dies

An elderly farmer was crushed to death when he came under a combine harvesting machine in Lakhan Khurd village in Kalanaur area today, police said.
Harnam Singh (80) was sleeping under a tree near his tube well when he got crushed under the machine, they said.
The machine was put into operation for wheat harvesting.
His body was brought to a hospital here for postmortem, they said.
Police have registered a case against the owner of the machine Ajit Singh, who was behind the wheel at the time of the incident.
