Fiat launches diesel variants of 3 models with more power

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has launched diesel variants of models -- Linea sedan, hatchback Punto EVO and crossover Avventura -- with more powerful engines, priced between Rs 6.81 lakh and Rs 10.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The models, new Linea, Punto EVO PowerTech and Avventura PowerTech will now be offered with more powerful diesel engines and a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, across all trims, the company said in a statement.
Linea diesel will have an engine power of 125 PS with price ranging from Rs 7.82 lakh to Rs 10.47 lakh. Punto EVO, with engine delivering power of 93 PS, is priced between Rs 6.81 lakh and Rs 7.92 lakh, while Avventura with the same power is tagged at Rs 7.87 lakh to Rs 9.28 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

FCA India President and Managing Director Kevin Flynn said: "Fiat cars are known for their performance and by adding more horsepower to our model range we are only living up to our brand promise -- Crafted for Car Lovers."
He further said: "Though our strengths are performance and visual aesthetics, we do recognise the necessity of fuel efficiency and our engines have been tuned to uncompromisingly deliver on that front.
