The poster with Yadav's picture was put up by Ramnarayan Vishnoi, a non-reserved category leader of Samta Andolan, at the state secretariat building, making an appeal to people to attend a felicitation ceremony of the CM on January 12.

The pro-reservation activists argued that the members of Samta Andolan were trying to disturb communal harmony by putting up poster of Yadav, who's party is against reservation in promotions, at the Secretariat.

"They have put up the poster featuring UP CM's picture which is highly objectionable. Ashok Gehlot is the chief minister of Rajasthan and posters in the secretariat should have pictures of only Gehlot," pro-reservation activist Ramphool Meena said.

Vishnoi, on the other hand, said through the posters he had just made an appeal to employees to attend the non-political function.

Later, both the factions handed over their representations to chief secretary C K Mathew demanding that action be taken against those found guilty.

Meanwhile, when asked about speculation that Yadav's visit to Rajasthan was to expand Samajwadi Party's base in the state, Gehlot said: it was an imaginary issue and his government was more focused on giving good governance to people and fulfilling the promises he and his party made.

"In democracy, intelligence of people is robust and extra ordinary. We are doing our work and fulfilling responsibility given to us by public and people know that there is no different in what we say and what we do, as it is in opposition," he told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.
