The probe is being done to determine whether an industry in the US is "materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry" is materially retarded, by reason of imports of 'welded stainless steel pressure pipe' from India.
"The Commission will hold a hearing in connection with the final phase of these investigations... On Thursday, September 22, 2016...," said the USITC while issuing notice for the final hearing.
The probe were requested in petitions filed on September 30 last year by Bristol Metals, LLC, Bristol, TN; Felker Brothers Corp, Marshfield, WI; Marcegaglia USA, Munhall, PA; and Outokumpu Stainless Pipe, Inc, Wildwood, FL.
The WTO Annual Report 2016 released on Friday revealed that India, US and Brazil were the leading initiators of anti-dumping investigations in 2015.
