Fire in chemical factory in Ghaziabad

A fire today broke out in a chemical factory in which raw and finished material was gutted, in Masuri police station area, police said.
However, no injury was reported in the incident so far, they said.
The fire broke out in Bharat Chemical factory at around 1 PM, Superintendent of Police (rural) Rakesh Pandey said.
More than 10 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames, he said.
As a preventive measure, the workers in the adjacent chemical and steel units were moved to safer places, he said, adding, the power supply to industrial units was also shut down.
Efforts are on to ascertain the cause of fire.
