Fire in Kolkata film studio, no casualty

Several persons, including some actors, had a narrow escape when a fire broke out in a private film studio during the shooting of a TV serial in Ranikuthi here today.
There was no casualty, fire brigade officials said.
Firemen, disaster management personnel and studio employees rescued those trapped on the air-conditioned floor, the officials said.
Five fire tenders fought the blaze for two hours, they said, adding that huge quantities of inflammable articles were stored on the floor.
The cause of the fire and extent of damage were yet to be assessed, they added.
