Marketmen said increased buying by stockists on the back of rising demand from retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly pushed prices of pulses.
In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka local shot up by Rs 400 each to Rs 6,200-7,200 and Rs 7,200-7,700, while moong dal dhoya local and best quality enquired higher by the same margin to Rs 7,100-7,400 and Rs 7,900-8,000 per quintal, respectively.
Urad dal best quality and dhoya also traded higher by the same margin to Rs 7,250-7,850 and Rs 7,500-7,900 per quintal, respectively.
Moth rose by Rs 200 to Rs 4,500-4,800, while arhar and its dal dara variety gained Rs 50 each at Rs 4,350-4,450 and Rs 5,550-5,850 per quintal, respectively.
Masoor small and bold edged up to Rs 5,000-5,300 and Rs 5,000-5,400 from Rs 5,000-5,200 and Rs 5,000-5,300 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality went up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,900-6,000 and Rs 6,000-6,100 per quintal, respectively.
