"Towards this effect, sub-committees have been formed to execute the charter, in a practical and successful manner," he said in a release here.
The charter programme, a CSR initiative of KTM includes waste and energy management, rain water harvesting, beautification, promotion of organic farming at destinations, efficient use of energy extensive use of local produce and products, reducing the use of plastics and improving greenery.
Stakeholders across the state will participate in the initiative.
KTM society members identified nine key issues that needed to be addressed as part of improving the infrastructure at Kerala's major tourist destinations, and now the action plan is in place to implement the projects, George added.
