On the lines of Hollywood, where such practice is in rage, 'The Play', based on the turns and twists in the journey of a city-based English theatre group, will be etched out in comic book format, director Ranojay (RC) Chatterjee told PTI.
"The objective is to ensure comeback of commercial art using crokel nib, black chinese ink, linocut, lithography," the young, debutant director said.
"The storyboard in the format of a graphic novel has been the brainchild of our creative team. We want to give the film a flavour different from other Tolly flicks," Ranojoy said.
"Yes the thoughts of a legendary playwright, who blazed the trail of English theatre practice in the city, crossed my mind when I etched out his role, but the movie is entirely fictional and the thriller part is filmy," the No One Killed Jessica actor said earlier.
