On March 20, six persons had stolen six trunk boxes, containing the gold and cash besides 25 kg of silver and 22 wrist watches, which were under the custody of the treasury pending criminal cases in courts, police said.
The sanitary workers, who came for cleaning the treasury premises found the doors broken open and police were informed.
The cash also included Rs 2.53 lakh which was seized by the 'flying squad' personnel during the 2011 Assembly elections.
Police said they were searching for one more member of the gang.
