Five seriously injured in cracker unit blast

Five people, including three children, were seriously injured in a blast at an illegal cracker unit at Sattur in the district Wednesday, police said.

The blast occcured due to friction when chemicals were being mixed, they said.

Three houses were gutted in the fire, police said, adding fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

All the injured have been hospitalised, they said.
