"After spending 18 years in the industry, I felt this was the right time to take the plunge. I am looking at making life at Antworks an adventure for everyone who walks through the door," Mehra, who also headed Infosys BPO business for Japan and Middle East, said in a statement today.
Headquartered in Singapore, Antworks will have offices in Qatar, London and Mumbai to begin with.
The company will focus on providing solutions primarily to the healthcare and financial sectors through two business models -- Business Process as a Service (BPAAS) and Technology as a Service (TAAS)
The company has already set up a 200 seat delivery centre in Pune, which is operational, the statement said.
