A former sarpanch who was removed from his post for alleged misappropriation of funds was booked today along with 70-80 others for allegedly creating ruckus at the mini secretariat here, police said.
Following a complaint by ASI Ghanashyam, a case under relevant sections of IPC has been registered against 70-80 persons including 15 named, for allegedly creating ruckus and preventing government servants to do their duties, a police spokesperson said.
Yesterday, Bibipur villagers protested against the removal of their sarpanch Sunil Jaglan. They broke the barricades and pushed the police personnel as they entered the premises of mini secretariat and a local court and raised slogans, he added.
A preliminary enquiry was conducted against Jaglan wherein he was found guilty of providing benefits to his close friends/ relatives using these funds.
