BTV Rama Rao, who is currently under suspension, was posted as the tehsildar at Bheemili between July, 2015 to February this year and allegedly indulged in corruption during his tenure.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Law & order) K Nageswara Rao said during the probe, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) found that Rao misused his official position by helping private individuals to grab nearly 150 acres of land belonging to one Manasas Trust, which comes under Endowments department.
He also transferred government land in the name of private persons without registration, causing revenue loss to the government, the ACP said.
