The police claimed it busted a racket of digital gambling and recovered 39 mobile phones, Rs 40,000 in cash, 10 registers with details of the stake money, four laptops and a TV yesterday.
The racket was being operated from a rented accommodation in Keshav Puram area of northwest Delhi and an FIR has been lodged under the Gambling Act.
The accused were identified as Lalit Kumar Gupta (39), Vijay Kumar (47), Durga Parsad Goyal (47) and Raju Gupta (36), all residents of Delhi.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Milind Mahadeo Dumbere said during interrogation the accused revealed that they got into gambling to earn quick and easy money and were doing it for the last three-four years.
They used to keep on changing their locations to escape from the clutches of law, he said.
