Theeight occupants of the car were on their way to Nedumbassery airport in Kochi when the lorry hit the vehicle from the rear while trying to overtake it at a dangerous curve on the road, police said.
Two of the seriously injured were admitted to a private hospital in Kottakkal while two others were treated for simple injuries
Details of the occupants of the car are yet to be known, police said.
