Four killed in clash in UP's Etawah

Four persons were today killed and two others injured in a clash between two groups over recently concluded Uttar Pradesh panchayat polls rivalry in Baidapur area, a senior police official said here.
Additional Superintendent of Police Lallan Singh said the groups of newly-elected village head Shweta Devi and Kesha Devi clashed and opened fire in Nagla Bankati village this afternoon.
He said both the groups belonged to one family and were also having a land dispute.
Those killed in the firing were identified as Asha Ram (56), Devendra Singh (35), Dhani Ram (52) and Guddu (55), the ASP said.
He added that two persons were injured in the incident and were undergoing treatment.
