Four policemen injured by villagers

A seven-member team of policemen from Tomka police station had gone to Jemadeipur village in Sukinda block to arrest eight persons when the incident took place, the police said.

As soon as the police team reached the village, the residents, mostly women, attacked them, injuring special police officer (SPO) Sriram Hembrum (26), constable Baburam Hembrum (35) and home guards Snehalata Das (27) and Hemalata Hembrum (26), the police said.
