Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section slipped by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following comfortable positions of trucks against limited cargo movements.

Transporters said easy position of trucks as well as restricted cargo movements mainly pulled down freight rates.

Delhi to Guwahati and Vijaywada freight rates were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 51,000 and Rs 53,000.

Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Patna freight rates also eased by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 60,000, Rs 51,000 and Rs 24,000.

Rates to Baroda, Mumbai and Kolkata also eased by Rs 1000 each to Rs 22,000, Rs 26,000 and Rs 28,000.
