Transporters said tight availability of trucks against pick up in cargo movements, mainly pushed up freight rates.
Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad and Vijaywada rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 80,000, Rs 60,000 and Rs 63,000.
Rates to Coimbatore, Guwahati and Goa also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 74,000, Rs 55,000 and Rs 57,000.
