The movie has earned USD 398.4 million domestically and USD 674 million internationally for a total USD 1.072 billion, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The 2013 film surpassed fellow Disney/Pixar film 'Toy Story 3', which had earned USD 1.063 billion.
'Frozen' now occupies the 10th spot on the list of the biggest global blockbusters.
It is also the first billion-dollar title from Disney Animation Studios, as well as the seventh from Disney.
The animated feature film is also predicted to surpass 'The Dark Knight Rises', which amassed USD 1.084 billion worldwide.
