World leaders today observed a minute's silence in memory of the victims of terror attacks in Paris at the start of the two-day G20 Summit here.
Besides Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the G20 summit is being attended by US President Barack Obama, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
"Standing in solidarity. The G20 working session begins w/a (with a) moment's silence for victims of #ParisAttacks," External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
In the worst ever terror attacks by ISIS in Paris on November 13, at least 129 people were killed and 352 injured, many in critical condition.
Global leader, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Barack Obama, today condemned terror attacks and sought joint global effort to combat terrorism.
The gruesome terror attacks in Paris, war in Syria and the fight against Islamic State militants overshadowed the meeting of the leaders of 20 biggest economies of the world (G20).
The G20 Summit, which was to discuss inclusive and robust growth, is set to adopt a resolution at the end of the two day meeting tomorrow calling for better coordination and exchange of information to cut off funding and a more comprehensive approach on "addressing the conditions conducive to terrorism".
The resolution on terror is likely to be separate from the Summit declaration, officials said.
