The woman was shot at yesterday in the Delhi gate area of Meerut district while she was going in a rickshaw with her brother-in-law, City Superintendent of Police Om Prakash said.
The woman was injured as the bullet grazed her shoulder. The accused Wasim, Rashid and another unidentified person are absconding, he said.
The woman was offered a lift by the accused while she was travelling from Hapur to Meerut on January 21. They took her to a house in Kotwali area where she was allegedly raped by them, he added.
