GE Shipping to buy Supramax Dry Bulk Carrier

GE Shipping today said it has entered into a contract to buy Supramax Dry Bulk Carrier of about 58,000 deadweight tonnage (dwt).
The 2009 vessel is expected to join the company's fleet in the third quarter (October-December) of the current fiscal.
The company's current fleet stands at 37 vessels, comprising 24 tankers and 13 dry bulk carriers with an average age of 8.93 years aggregating 2.88 mn dwt.
