Gena Rowlands to receive honour at Career Achievement Award

Four-time Emmy-winning actress Gena Rowlands will be honoured at the Career Achievement Award.
The 84-year-old actress has been chosen by the LA Film Critics Association and will be feted at the ceremony January 15, next year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Rowlands is best known for collaborating with her husband, director John Cassavetes. She appeared in ten of his films, earning Academy Award nominations for two of them, 'Gloria' and 'A Woman Under the Influence'. She has also won two Golden Globe awards.
Rowlands has appeared more recently in films like 'The Notebook' and 'The Skeleton Key' and shows including 'NCIS' and 'Monk'.
Previous honorees of the Career Achievement award include Doris Day and Richard Lester.
