Gillette Q3 net rises over twofold to Rs 81 cr

FMCG major Gillette India today reported over twofold jump in net profit at Rs 80.85 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, helped by portfolio optimisation and improved efficiency.
The company, which follows July-June financial year, had reported a net profit of Rs 30.76 crore for the same period of the previous fiscal.
Net sales rose to Rs 552.76 crore for the third quarter, up 11.96 per cent compared with Rs 493.68 crore a year ago, Gillette India Ltd said in a regulatory filing.
"The company has benefitted from portfolio optimisation, even as it continues to focus on productivity and cost efficiency," Gillette said.
Scrip of Gillette India was trading at Rs 4,400.25 on BSE, up 2.91 per cent from the previous close.
