Although victim's family alleged that she was raped by the accused before being murdered, police ruled out any such possibility.
Police said that the girl went missing on Friday and next day, she was found murdered in a nearby area.
"Police have arrested Karan (23), a prime accused and apprehended his minor friend," said a police official.
Police said that they are interrogating the accused and are yet to establish the motive behind murder.
Angry over the incident, scores of people, including victim's family members, today staged a demonstration due to which, police said, situation slightly became tense with police making tight security arrangements in the area.
