Girl hit by co-passenger for objecting to his lewd comments

A class XII student was injured after she was allegedly slapped by a co-passenger in a bus when she objected to his lewd comments on her, in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kahsmir, police said.
"The girl has received injuries on her face, she was taken to the hospital where she received three stitches," a police officer said.
He said that the girl was travelling in a bus when a co-passenger started passing lewd comments towards her.
"She objected to the comments to which the co passenger hit her hard on the face, right now we are not sure if he stabbed her on hit her with his fist," the officer said.

Police have registered a complaint against the unidentified youth, the official said.
"We will soon identify the accused and arrest him," he said.
