The incident took place this afternoon in Yellandu area of Khammam, when the girl, in her 20s, was walking on the road in conversation with the acquittance and he suddenly pushed her before the speeding truck which dashed her aside, a senior police officer told PTI, based on preliminary information.
"As per information available, the girl is known to the person and both of them were talking when the incident occurred. She suffered injuries in the incident and has been admitted to a hospital. She is still unconscious and once she gains consciousness we will record her statement. The person is absconding," the police officer said.
