A 14-year-old girl, who had left her house in west Delhi's Hari Nagar area to pursue her Bollywood dreams, was traced in Sahibabad, police said today.
On Monday evening, a man lodged a police complaint that her teenage daughter has gone missing and feared that she might have been kidnapped, a police officer said.
A team was formed under H S P Singh, ACP (Rajouri Garden) to probe the matter.
"During investigation, it was found that the girl had made a video call through Internet to one of her family members when she was missing," DCP (West) Vijay Kumar said.
During scrutiny of the video call, a motorcycle was seen parked behind her which provided a clue to her whereabouts, the officer said.
The owner of the vehicle was traced to Sahibabad and the girl was found in their house yesterday. The motorcycle owner runs a company named "YYYY MUSIC Co.", Kumar said.
"The girl told police that she wanted to work in the film industry and had gone to the office of the music company for an audition," the DCP said.
"During interrogation, the owner of the company said the girl had contacted the company herself for the audition to bring out a music album," Kumar said.
