Globalization has not been good for all Americans: Biden

Acknowledging that globalisation has not been good for everyone in the US, Vice President Joe Biden said that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton knows how to benefit from it, for the country and its people.
"She knows that globalization hasn't been good for everybody; that we've got to do something about changing the way in which we deal with the world, and without cutting back on engaging the world," Biden said an election rally in Tampa, Florida, a battleground state.
"She knows a lot of things we can do right now," he said.
The vice-president said any country that will out-educate the US will out-compete it.

"That's why Hillary's worked with Barack (Obama) and me to make sure that we spent a great deal of money bringing in companies and community colleges, putting together programmes to train people for the 100,000 high-tech manufacturing jobs that're there," he asserted.
Biden played a key role in shaping the foreign policy of the Obama administration.

Referring to some of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's remarks, he said they were "un-American".
"The crudeness of it, the denigration of people. It is in a generic sense un-American. People aren't used to hearing this kind of vitriol coming from a candidate for president of the United States of America," he said.

"I've worked with a lot of Republican candidates who I've disagreed with, Republican senators I disagreed with. But they all basically agreed on the bargain. The bargain was if you work hard, you help an enterprise do well, you get to share in the benefits of that. That bargain's been broken, and I promise you Donald Trump wants to shred what's left of it," he alleged.
